Widget is not loading

Symptom#

The chat button does not appear on your website.

Cause#

The widget stays hidden from visitors whenever it cannot chat: the snippet is old, the widget is off or removed, the website is not in Allowed websites, or the bot is not Ready. The browser's developer console on your page shows a warning from the widget.

Fix#

1. Confirm the snippet is installed

   View your website source or template and make sure the Pegasus script is present.

2. Check the browser console

   A warning that starts with [embed] Failed to initialize widget session means the widget could not start.

3. Copy the latest snippet

   If you rotated the token or removed the widget, replace the old snippet.

4. Check Allowed websites

   Add the exact protocol, domain, and port of the site.

5. Check bot status

   The bot must be Ready.
