Password & security
Change your password, understand what stays signed in, and protect your tokens.
Use Settings → Security to update your password.
Change password
Open Settings
Click your avatar or Settings in the left sidebar.Switch to the Security tab
The Security section holds password and security settings.Enter current and new passwords
Pegasus verifies that you control the current session. Enter your current password once, then the new password twice. The new password must be at least 8 characters long.
Update
Click Update Password and wait for the success toast.Confirmation toast appears
You see "Password updated successfully" and remain signed in on this device.
What changes after you update it
- Future sign-ins use the new password immediately.
- Your current device stays signed in.
- Other devices are not signed out automatically.
- Existing personal access tokens keep working until you revoke them manually.
If the update fails
- Re-enter your current password.
- Make sure the new passwords match.
- If you forgot your current password, sign out and use Forgot password.
Forgot the current password?
Sign out, then use the Forgot password flow on the login page. The reset code lets you set a new password without knowing the current one.
API token security
Personal Access Tokens live under Settings too. They are separate from your password, but should be protected like passwords.
